I’ve been following prettycitylondon on instagram for awhile now, and I saw she was having a book printed I was so excited! Her photos are gorgeous, little glimpses into the everyday beauty of London. It’s not all famous landmarks and iconic spots, it’s the pretty doors of Nottinghill or the flair of a neighborhood corner pub. All the things I love so dearly about my favorite city in print. I saw a previous review that the printing of the book is poor quality, but I disagree.. it’s matte paper, yes, and while most photography books are printed on glossy photo paper, honestly it fits the type of content this book has. I almost didn’t order because of that... but I’m so glad I did! I felt so compelled by this book I had to write a review too! Been shopping amazon for 10+ years and this will be my first review... ever. Buy it, you’ll love it if you love this city as much as I do!
The pictures are wonderful. It's just what I hoped it would be. I think more people wold buy it if they could "look inside." I almost didn't get it because I wasn't sure about the size of the photographs. I'm glad I took a chance. I didn't realize it was about something on line. I've never heard of it. Bottom line, the book is beautiful. The pictures are gorgeous, even if there are repeats, If you want to see the best of London neighborhoods, check this out.
I follow Pretty City London on Instagram and look forward to the striking, vivid, colorful, shots they take of London. I waited patiently for this book after many delays in publishing date, only to be so disappointed. The cover and photos within feel like they are on "mute". They have done the photos an justice by choosing a flat paper to print this book on, causing the images to look dull and lifeless.
Beautiful photos but pictures need more variety
This book is filled with stunning photos of the most lovely city! It inspired me to take the trip of a lifetime to London. Everything was as enchanting in person as it was in the book!
This book is definitely for the London fans. This is a well thought out and photographed book! I already have my list going for my next trip.
Love the photos, but they lose something in not being on glossy paper. Just matte paper book.
This book is filled with a profusion of really pretty photos and it's quite a treat to look at each one. I love London and I've been there many times over the years - but even if you've never been there, this book will surely make you want to visit that beautiful city.
